You will be required to bring six wine glasses to class. A great tasting glass is an extremely important tool, and Spiegelau's Crystal Expert Tasting Glasses are an excellent choice. WSET Level 2 Award in Wines is an extremely popular course. It will teach you about the key grape varieties that are grown around the world and the different styles they produce. It will also expand on the Systematic Approach to Wine Tasting that we introduced in Level 1.
Through a combination of tasting and theory, you’ll explore the factors that impact style and quality and learn how to describe these wines with confidence.
This course is a fantastic introduction to the world of international wines and is suitable for beginners as well as those who already have basic wine knowledge.
Who should take this course
You are a wine enthusiast who wish to gain in-depth knowledge of wines and wants to obtain an internationally recognized wine qualification
You are employed in the drinks and hospitality industries and have little prior knowledge of international wines.
WSET Level 1 Award in Wines is not required to take this course. However, you should have a good base knowledge of wine before registering for WSET Level 2.
