The WSET Award in Spirits is the ideal starting point for the novice spirits enthusiast, or those working with spirits.
This hands-on course will guide you, using sight, smell and taste, through the world’s key spirit categories and production methods. The course is designed to introduce spirits in an interactive, structured and fun manner.
The morning session covers an introduction to spirits production, how to taste spirits before we delve into Brandy, Vodka, and Whisk(e)y.
After lunch, we'll have a mini review of the morning followed by Rum, Tequila, and Flavoured Spirits. Lastly, we will learn about the storage and service of spirits.

This is a one-day course. There is a 30-question multiple choice test at the end of the day. When you pass, you will receive a certificate from Adventure in Wine as well as an official WSET Level 1 Award in Wine certificate and lapel pin.
